Course Description

What if you could have a clear, science-backed roadmap for supporting the autistic children and teens in your care—one that connects the dots between medical care, sensory needs, communication, behavior, learning, and emotional well-being into one brain-based approach? Imagine having a guidebook that helps you feel confident in daily practice, empowered to help children and families navigate complex medical, behavioral, and educational challenges to live their best lives.

This course is designed to offer that clarity and confidence.

Join internationally recognized neurologist, researcher, and BCBA Dr. Suzanne Goh and her transdisciplinary team at the Cape Cod Institute for a week-long, immersive learning experience created specifically for professionals and family members of autistic children and teens.

Grounded in the latest neuroscience research and neurodiversity-affirming practices, this course provides families with a comprehensive, brain-based framework for understanding and supporting autistic youth, from infancy to adolescence.

Throughout the week, attendees will learn how to:

  • Understand neurodevelopmental profiles and what they truly mean for everyday life

  • Support communication through natural, meaningful, child-led interactions

  • Foster regulation, connection, and emotional well-being

  • Develop individualized strategies to strengthen sensorimotor, cognitive, and life skills

  • Navigate medical care with clarity

  • Build supports that honor autonomy, strengths, identity, and authentic self-expression

Through a blend of engaging lectures, guided case examples, reflective discussions, and experiential learning, participants will leave with the knowledge and tools to:

  • Translate the latest research into practical strategies

  • Better understand a child’s behaviors and needs

  • Advocate effectively across medical, school, and therapeutic settings

  • Create environments that help their child feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn

  • Support long-term growth in communication, relationships, and independence

This inclusive course welcomes therapists, mental health practitioners, educators, allied health professionals, caregivers, and family members who seek to elevate their knowledge and skills through an integrated neuroscientific lens. No prior training is needed; curiosity and compassion are all that’s required.

Join us at the Cape Cod Institute for a meaningful, hope-driven week that will deepen your understanding, expand your toolkit, and jumpstart learning in a child’s life.
